Flash floods occur rapidly and are very dangerous. Just a few inches of water from a flood
can cause tens of thousands of dollars in damage. A flash flood is
characterized by a quickly rising stream with depths of water that can reach
well above the banks of the creek. Flash floods often bring walls of water 10 to 15 feet high.

ReplyDeleteI love your graph! I'm curious as to what actually causes flash floods, and why there are such high occurrences in June and July.
ReplyDeleteI really like the graphing of the data. It allowed me to have a visual of the number of floods and it is clear that June is the most. Great job guys! The pictures brought me back to Sandy. Great job capturing a flash floods. Next time maybe a video showing floods coming up or the tides moving in etc....
ReplyDeleteI like the graph. Its weird that there were floods in January. I wonder if its because of snow.
ReplyDeleteI would have thought that there would be more flash floods in April. It feels like that would be when we get the most rain.
